thank you! I think it’s helpful to know that most commentaries are a part of a set, so if you find a good one, they usually have similar commentaries for other books of the Bible as well.
For instance, in the “for everyone” series, Wright does the New Testament and Goldingay covers the Old Testament.
So sometimes it’s best to settle into a series. Some of my favorites are the “Belief Commentaries,” they have Sarah Lancaster for Roman’s and Willie Jennings for Acts, a phenomenal series.
I also like the “story of God” series as well. Also, if you are looking for a commentary for a certain book, feel free to ask me on here and I’ll see if I any good recommendations!
